Pickled sand is a mix of screened sand, with winter rock salt. The screened sand provides the traction for vehicle traffic and safe pedestrian circulation, while the rock salt melts the snow and ice. Pickled sand is a wonderful choice for gravel driveways and roads, as well as large parking lots.

By blending the two products, we are able to reduce the cost, making Pickled sand the most economical de-icing product on the market.
